On Margaret and Roberts marriage Certificate her name is listed as "Botton"

In the 1881 Scotland Census Margaret is 29 and living with her husband Thomas and her first four children. "John Bolton" is listed as stepson to the head of the house, age 12 believed to be an illegitiment child from a previous relationship of Margaret's. They are living in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

In the 1891 Scotland Census "Maggie" is 37 and living with Thomas and six of her children. John is now a Clark. Still in Hamilton Lanarkshire.

In the 1901 Scotland Census Maggie is now a widower.and living with her 4 youngest children in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

Margaret father's name is unknown of her marriage certificate, but her mothers name is Agnes Frazer.
