Biography

George Bolton was born in 1837 at Mixbury in Oxfordshire, England. He was the son of John Bolton and his wife Ann, born Ann Hales. [1] George was baptised at the parish church of Mixbury on 10 September 1837, as the son of John and Anne Bolton of Mixbury. His father was a labourer. [2]

In 1841 George Bolten [sic] was living at Mixbury with John and Ann Bolten (presumably his parents) and their other children. His age was given as 3, implying a birth date in 1837 or 1838. [3]
