Edward is referred to as "Edward Bond Jr." in most available records.
He was the son of Edward Bond and Experience (Stone) Bond. He was born at Beverly, Essex County, Province of Massachusetts on 28 December 1737.[1] He was baptized there on 1 January 1738 at the First Parish Church (Puritan, at that time).[2] The family moved to Leicester in Worcester County in 1839.[3]
Edward married Rose Blashfield, daughter of Luke and Rose (Trenance) Blashfield, on 29 Nov 1759 at Brimfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.[4]
They had at least six children listed in a compiled birth register from Brimfield. [5]

Forbush Bond, son of Edward and Rose, born Nov'r 4th, 1772.
Rose Bond, dauter of s'd Edward & Rose, born 3d March, 1775.
In 1775, Edward deployed with the Massachusetts Militia on several campaigns, including the battle at Cambridge on 19 April 1775.

On 14 February 1776, Edward enlisted as a Private with his son Israel Bond in the Continental Regiment of Foot commanded by Colonel Elisha Porter Esq. in Captain Josiah Lyman's Company. [7]
Edward died at Fort George, New York, on 20 August 1776 while serving in the Continental Army. [8]
