Benjamin (Bond) Burn was born in Yorkshire, England.
This profile is part of the Eastrington, Yorkshire One Place Study.
Benjamin was born in Hive, Yorkshire, England, and was baptised nearby in Eastrington in 1825. He was the son of William Bourn and Mary Butler.[1]

At the time of the 1841 census Benjamin worked as a servant for the Jewitt family in Ousethorpe, Yorkshire.[2] In 1851 he lived with his parents in Eastrington, while working as a groom.[3]

Benjamin worked as a flax dresser in 1861, when he boarded with the Middlebrook family in Swinefleet, Yorkshire.[4]

In 1864 Benjamin married Mary Ann Julian in Sculcoates, Hull, Yorkshire.[5][6] By 1871 he worked as a gardener and the family lived in Hull.[7]

Benjamin died in 1879 at the age of 54.[8]
