Biography

Louisa came to Western Australia with her parents and siblings on the Egyptian, arriving on 13 February 1830.^[1]

She married Hugh Morrison on 25 December 1841 in Perth.^[1][2] They had three daughters.

Louisa's husband drowned in a fishing accident, and she later departed with the two youngest children on 18 September 1850 per Daphne for South Australia. The two eldest daughters were reared by grandparents Henry Rice Bond and his wife.^[1] The numbers of daughters in this narrative do not appear to add up.

It's not clear when Hugh died, but the last newspaper references where he is clearly alive are in mid-1847.
