Biography

Levicey Armistead Bone was born Dec. 31, 1861 to Samuel Newton Bone andMartha (Vernon) Bone. Levicey was named for Levicy Jane Bone, her father's sister, and her husband Armstead Richardson. Levicey had pale blue eyes, and though her children had brown eyes like her husband, she still passed the recessive gene to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She married John Porter Bromfield Ewing on May 19, 1878 in Nacogdoches Co., Texas.[1]

Together they became the parents of Arthur Kenneth Ewing, Nannie Donald (Ewing) McKelvey, Samuel Oscar Ewing, Willie Lee "Bill" Ewing, Herschel Vernon Ewing, Mary Lula Gertrude (Ewing) Kelly, Carrie Bone (Ewing) James, T. B. Ewing, Richard Bland Ewing, John Armstead Ewing, and Zeffie Cordelia (Ewing) Brown. Another child, Jettie Beeman or Beekman appears with the family in the 1900 Census. there is not other Beeman or beekman in the same district, and the origin of this child is unknown. [2]

She passed away 8 July 1957 and was buried at Graham Chapel Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas.[3]
