Biography

Harold was born during 1900 to George and Jane Bone. On the 20th May 1948[1] a correction was made to the original birth entry. This was to correct the error in spelling of Bone as the original entries were made under the name of Bowen.

He married Jane Morgan on the 1st August 1927 in the Otautau Presbyterian Church.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 1931[2].
An unfortunate accident occurred to Mr Harold Bone this morning. He was busy unloading soil from his lorry at the Recreation Ground, when the pawl in the lifting gear slipped, and the handle swung round to hit the back of his hand. The smash broke the middle finger in two places, while badly crushing the hand, causing it to swell. He was immediately attended by the Doctor and friends will all wish him a speedy recovery.
