• Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch Eddie Bonham a native of Camden, AL. and resident of Prichard, AL., born December 5, 1914 to the late Nathan Sr. and Magdalene Hill Bonham, departed this life Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was married to the late Johnnie Mae Matthews which produced two sons, the late Eddie Bonham Jr. and Willie Lee Bonham Sr. He was later married to the late Mary Smiley Bonham for over 35 years and made their home in Prichard, AL. Eddie served in the US Army and fought during World War II in Europe where he received two Bronze Stars for Valor. He leaves to cherish his memories two siblings, Helen (Willie) Higginbotham, Philadelphia, PA and Freddie (Mattie Pearl) Bonham, Camden, Al. One son Willie (Martha) Bonham, Sr. Prichard, Alabama, ten grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hodge's Chapel. Visitation will be Friday April 24, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Andrews Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hodge's Chapel L.L.C. 701 Dr. M.L.King Jr. Ave. Mobile. AL. 36603 Published in the Press-Register on 4/23/2009
