Research Notes

  • Per WikiTree ERROR Report #931, Mayflower Family removed at their request! I do recall and prefer the days before error reports!
  • Mayflower Families, Volume 4, Edward Fuller Family. Note: Unfortunately this linkage appears to be in dispute by MacGunnigle in Mayflower families. MacGunnigle has no proof that Sarah and Thomas are not married, but could not prove the linkage. (as quoted from page 37 of Mayflower families through five generations). Children (BONHAM) b. Piscataway NJ; iv. SARAH b. 14 Feb. 1698. Although Monette lists her as marrying Thomas Runyon, Jr. of Hopewell NJ; no documentation found to confirm this. The name Thomas does not appear among the 11 children of Vincent and Mary Runyan 1692-1713 or ch. of Vincent & Anna (Boutcher) Runyon who m. 1668. The will of Thomas Runyan (Jack Note: This is Thomas's father) of Hopewell dated 16 April 1753 names wife Martha and only sons Vinson (sic) and Thomas by name. Administration of the estate if Vincent of Raritan River, Middlesex Co. NJ was granted 5 Dec. 1713 to his widow Martha. The will of Vincent Runyon of Piscataway 16 Feb. 1723/4, proved 18 March 1723/4, does not name a son Thomas. (as quoted from page 628 of First Settlers of ye Plantations... Vol 4); IV. Sarah Bonham, daughter of Hezekiah Bonham, Senor, b. Feb 14, 1698, was intermarried with Thomas Runyon, Jr., lived in Hopewell, Hunterdon Co., adjoining the Bonham family there. A son, Bonham Runyon joined the Hopewell Baptist Church, Oct. 20, 1764, and was dismissed by letter 4-20-1794.

Bonham-882 and Bonham-21 appear to represent the same person because: After another merge of parents, there are multi dup children now, Sarah Bonham being one. They are the same. Bonham-21 has been around, Bonham-882 is new and unsourced, but they are the same person and need to be merged.
