He married Elizabeth Bonham, born in Leet township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, December 18, 1845, daughter of Llewellyn Bonham, born in Allegheny county, September 28, 1805, died February 15, 1856, a farmer. Her mother, Matilda (Frye) Bonham, was born March 20, 1812, died January 7, 1899. Children of James W. and Elizabeth Marlatt: Rhoda Eva, born April 27, 1866; John Edward, June 11, 1868; Walter Scott, of whom further; Caroline Edith, September 9, 1874; Anna, May 18, 1877; Matilda Ora, September 2, 1879 ; Audley Hutchinson, July 24, 1883.

(J. W. Marlatt) He was married to Miss Elizabeth Bonham, and they have seven children: Rhoda E., John E., Walter S., Edith, Anna, Matilda and Audley H.
Elizabeth was born on 18 Dec 1845. She married James Wesley Marlatt. She passed away on 12 Sep 1925.[1]
