DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

Naomi Bonham married Joseph Bonham born about 1731 (Bonham-788) They were from New Jersey and moved to Virginia. Naomi's husband, Joseph did die about 1803 in Wythe County, VA, and she was named in his will.

There was a Joseph Bonham born in 1751 in PA and his parents are correctly listed. The marriage and death dates of this Joseph (Bonhan-934) are incorrect.

David Evans explains this thoroughly on his website http://web.pdx.edu/~davide/gene/Bonham_Joseph.htm
