Bonner, Russell, age 45, of 59 Diamond Av., passed away at Good Samaritan hospital on Thursday, Oct 26. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church in Fayetteville, Tenn., a resident of Dayton for 15 years in the dry cleaning business. He is survived by his wife, Adenia; his mother, Mrs. Annie Bonner of Fayetteville, Tenn; 3 brothers, John of Dayton, Leon of Clarksville, Tenn, and Andy of Houston, Tx.; 1 sister, Mrs. Geneva Flint of Fayetteville, Tenn., and a hos of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Jones Bros, Funeral Home, 2060 Germantown St., on Tuesday, Oct 31, at 1 p.m. Rev. E. T. Britton officiating. Burial will be in Greencastle cemetery.

Research Notes

Russell is recorded on 13 January, 1920 in the census as the 1 month old son of John and Annie. However, the obituary in the Dayton Daily News (Dayton, Ohio), published on Saturday, Oct 28, 1967, reported that Russell was 45 years old when he passed away on Thursday, Oct 26. This would have put his birth year in 192, assuming he was born in December.
