George was born at Sibley Hospital, Washington, DC, in 1934. He attended Mt. Vernon High School in Alexandria, VA. He was the son of Carlton Booker and Marion Robey. He served in the U.S. Navy. He passed away in 2010, in Benton, Arkansas.
