H Carole, It appears from your profile that you are not following any G2G tags. As a member of the Mayflower Project you should have - mayflower - as a G2G tag, so you will be kept informed about events and questions in the project. Would you add mayflower to your followed tags. Include a mention of who your Mayflower Ancestor was. Or send me a list of your Mayflower passenger ancestors. Thank you.

A review of the NA/NYRDC church baptism records between 1639 and 1800 revealed that surname "de Wit" was used 63 times and and surname "de Witt" was used 15 times. Surnames "DeWit and DeWitt were each used once before 1800 for baptisms.
For marriage records between 1639 and 1801: "de Wit" was used 7 times "de With" was used 1 time "de Witt" was used 8 times "DeWit" was used 1 time in 1699. "DeWit"t was used 3 time beginning in 1793.
Thanks for your contributions. I noticed you changed Mathew Boomer's current last name "to Boomer Sr". It looks as if Sr should not be part of the last name field - but rather belongs in the suffix field, if he actually used the suffix during his life. If he didn't use the suffix Sr, it shouldn't be listed in any of the data fields.
Thank you, Sharon
In the meantime, if the patronym is not the LNAB, please add it as an Other Last Name or with the first name, but not as a middle name.
Many projects in WikiTree have naming guides - links to them are here.
Thanks! Liz

I looked up the source you added to Lydia Bangs. Ancestry.com. database on-line. says the original data for U.S., New England Marriages Prior to 1700 comes from Torry, Clarence A. New England Marriages Prior to 1700. Baltimore, MD, USA: Genealogical Publishing Co., 2004.
Torrey's New England Marriages to 1700 at AmericanAncestors says Lydia Bangs married Benjamin Higgins on 24 December 1661 at Eastham not John Done/Doan. It says John Doane -1686 married as his second wife, Lydia Unknown by 1 April 1659 at Eastham, and John Doane 1635-1707/8 married Hannah Banges
