Biography
John was born in 1848. He was the son of William Boone and Elizabeth Norris. He passed away in 1891. He married Josephine "Josie" Bowling on September 23, 1878, in Nelson County, Ky (Kentucky Marriage Records). . They had nine children in 12 years. He died in 1900 in his hometown at the age of 52 and was buried there ("1870 Census Records" 2009).

On the 1860 Hodgenville, Larue Co., Ky Census, he is listed as John Boon, a 10 year old, Ky native, living with his parents, William and Eliza Boon. On the 1870 Hodgenville, Larue Co., Ky Census, he is listed as John Boone, a 21 year old, Ky native, a distillery worker, living with his parents, William and Liza A. Boone.
Buried in St Ann's Catholic Church Cemetery, Howardstown, Nelson Co, Ky.
