William Curtis Booth was born on 29 Sep 1864 in Hamburg, Calhoun Co., Illinois, the son of William Booth and Eliza Jane Ansell Foiles. He had four siblings, namely: Turner Marion, John R., Eliza Jane, and George Albert. When he was 21, he married Nancy Arilla Howland, daughter of Abbott Curtis Howland and Mary Elizabeth Richardson, on 15 Dec 1885 in Calhoun Co., Illinois. William Curtis and Nancy had the following children: Mary Jane, Carrie "Lee," William Perry, Marion Grose, John Albert "Bert," Aurelia M., Clara E., Bertha A., Owen Slocum, Rhoda Marie, Arthur A., Lorraine Minnie, and Iva G. Booth.

William Curtis died on 21 Mar 1935 in Alton, Madison Co., Illinois. He was buried on 03 Mar 1936 in McConnell Cemetery, Calhoun Co., Illinois, USA.
