Biography

Marion Grose Booth was born on 08 Jan 1893 in Hamburg, Calhoun Co., Illinois as the fourth child of William Curtis Booth and Nancy Arilla Howland. He had twelve siblings, namely: Mary Jane, Carrie Lee, William Perry, John Albert, Aurelia M., Clara E., Bertha A., Owen Slocum, Rhoda Marie, Arthur A., Lorraine Minnie, and Iva G.. Marion served in the military (US Army, WWI). When he was 25, he married Bertha Mae Clowers, daughter of Thomas Slocum Clowers and Nancy Foiles, about 1919 in Illinois. They divorced. They were the parents of one daughter and one son. When he was 32, he married Margret E. _____ about 1926.
