According Jacobus, Deacon Joseph Booth was the second child born to Joseph Booth Sr. and Hannah Wilcoxson in Stratford, CT. Jacobus p. 6, 12 gives his birth: abt 1689 Stratford, CT while Orcutt's History of New Milford p. 657 gives birth year ca 1692.- neither gives a documented source.
Connecticut Headstone Inscriptions Vol 48:510 (read in 1934) for the Stratford Cemetery lists "Booth, Joseph, son of Joseph, born 1685, died 1765" Others claim the headstone reads May 2, 1763 as death date, dying in his 75th year which confirms 1689 birth year. This also corresponds to the dates of the administration of his estate. Photo of headstone is illegible.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Joseph:
