Research Notes

Roger W. Booth, a direct descendant of William Cissaro Booth, matches the DNA of Abraham Blackwell, son of George Blackwell of Edgecombe County, NC. Abraham Blackwell and Thoroughgood Blackwell were close neighbors in the census records for Cheraws and Chesterfield District, SC. We are not Booth's by surname but Blackwell's per the DNA results. Margiana Matilda Booth, daughter of John Booth, and her husband, Joseph Henry Crawford, left a proxy with the LDS church which stated her grandfather was Thoroughgood Blackwell and her grandmother was Margaret Booth. The proxies stated her uncles were William and Charles Booth. Also, as of January 2016, Booth researcher, Chris Kay. informed me that Wallace Booth descendant of John Booth brother to Charles Booth and William Cissaro Booth matched Roger Booth's Y-DNA results at FTDNA.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
