ITASCA — Melvin Don Boots passed away Nov. 11, 2009, from a short bout with cancer. He was born Dec. 14, 1948, in Hillsboro, Texas. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Bethel Temple Church, 600 Colonial Drive in Cleburne, Texas.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Ethan Sewell.

Survivors: daughters, Shelley Sorensen and husband, Jeff, of Cleburne, Shanah Sewell and husband, Greg, of Itasca, Kandice Anderton of Cleburne and Sheila Peralta and husband, Pat, of Levelland; grandchildren, Ruby, Hanah, Robert, Mason, Rita, Becca, Charles, Ashlyn, Gabby, Gavin, Grace, Chloe, Sofie and Brooklyn; brothers, Billy Joe Boots and wife, Karen, and Glenn Boots; sister, Carla McDonald and husband, Donald; niece, Caprice Bynum; and nephews, Madison Boots and Brighton Boots. Not to forget the love of his life, Kay Boots.
