Biography

Mary Jane Boots was born on April 20, 1907[1] in Illinois. She was the daughter of Frank Boots and Cynthia Cyntha 'Melissa' Molisa Peters. At the age of 3, she was in her parent's home in Carlyle, Clinton County, Illinois, with her 7 siblings.[2] Her father was a Coal Miner. She grew up in Caryle.[3]

She married Garrett 'Alga' Hall (1904-1988) on April 18, 1922, at an early age of 14.[4] They had at least 4 children.

  1. Ralph Alga Hall (1922-1983)
  2. Julia Florence Hall (1925-2002)
  3. Earl Franklin Hall (1927-1977)
  4. Mary Nell Rose (Hall) Watters (1929-2014)

They lived in O'Fallon Twp., St Clair county, Illinois in 1940, Where Alga was a Forman for a Rubber Plant, and Mary was taking care of the home and raising the children, Ralph-17, Julie-15, Earl-13, and Nell-10.

She died on April 11, 1975, at the age of 67, in Escambia County, Florida,[5] and was buried in the Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, Walton County, Florida.[1]
