Biography

Elizabeth (Borden) Martin immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Elizabeth was born before 15 Feb 1631/32 in England.[1] She is the daughter of John Borden and Joanna Hooker.

Joanna Hooker, Elizabeth's mother, was widowed about 1636 when John Borden died. Joanna then married John Gay in 1638. Elizabeth thus grew up in the Gay household in Dedham along with her brother. [2]Her daughter Elizabeth from her first marriage married Richard Martine in Salem in 1660. Elizabeth Gay of Dedham daughter of John Gay, and Richard Martine were married at Salem [3]. Elizabeth died before 01 Feb 1672/73 Boston MA.[4]
