I was away from my WikiTree account for more than seven months. I apologize to anyone that I have offended by not answering their emails. I am still having trouble getting back to my old speed. dusty (November 2018)

Hi, One of my earliest memories is asking my elders about their families and lives.

I hope to contribute genealogical information as well as benefit from the hard work of others. One thing I enjoy doing is connecting profiles together so that people, myself included, can find how they are related to someone notable. I do try to keep things in perspective by remembering this article. https://.ideas.4brad.com/everybody-your-16thcousin

I went to college and graduate school, however that was a long time ago and I'm not out to impress anyone. Now I'm doing good to remember where I left my car keys. Still out there trying, dusty

DNA Notes

November 2017: I have posted my father's Ancestry.com DNA results. Update; I guess that information has been removed since he is still living. (Dec 2018)

December 2017. I have posted my Ancestry DNA results, [ Dusty Boren ].

Thank you Dusty. I assumed you must be related too. I don't mind sharing management, but thank you all the same.

Hi Dusty,

I couldn't help but notice you adopted a few Pre-1500 profiles. Perhaps now would be a good time to get your Pre-1500 badge so you can also work on those profiles? Thank you for stepping up to care for those profiles.

Dusty, I'm getting mixed info on the parents of Vining Cooper. I descend from Martha Cooper who married John Beard Cogswell.

Dutsy, I see your not on you profile that you're trying to catch up on things. I went ahead and made the change to Zephaniah's parents. I'm pretty confident its correct. We can always change it back! I'm also going to contact the famous kin website with the correction.

Hi. Would you have a look at Elizabeth Neville please? History of Parliament online says she was daughter of Henry Neville. How good are the sources on Elizabeth's profile? Cheers, C

Hello Dusty, I noticed you follow Grove as well as Boren. My husband is Robert Grove Boren, born 1954 in California. His dad is William Lewis Boren, grandparents are Fred Boren and Gwen (Archer) Boren, All from Iowa. Grove is a family name. Possibly there is a relationship. We sent off DNA last week, which I will upload once results are back.

Cheers! Laura (Brewster) Boren

Edit to add: yes, you are a definite relative to my husband.
