Hello Dusty, recently, you wiped out a lot of the family connections, sources, and changed data that I had carefully built on the family of Samuel C. Davis.

I don't know that your changes are necessarily wrong. But I see very little that you added to support them, considering that the material which you removed was very extensive. Also, you left the remaining wife and children without a husband and father. When I look at the source material, it seems that one of the half-siblings you removed was actually living in a later household with one of the earlier children. That would pretty much prove the family connection, but I would have to study it a lot more carefully to sort out the actual wording of who remembered it as fact, which is a bit confusing.

This man Samuel could in fact have had three wives, with three sets of children. I would just appreciate something a bit more definitive as proof of NO connection, since you put a lot of my original work to waste, with no remnant of explanation on the profiles.

Richard Wrottesley, Esq (Wrottesley-4 and daughter Eleanor.

Hello Dusty :-) The reason I asked about the uncertainty status of daughter Eleanor is because when I 'run' the relationship function (I'm a direct descendent) the report returns an Uncertainty status. That's in the report, and may be just a function of the report. I've seen this happen in a couple of other places where the parent and sibling are relationship appear solid with primary sources and the status indicator is checked as certain but the relationship report returns an uncertain status??? In your experience have you seen this before? Don't want to bother you with this, please feel free to delete this lengthy msg. Thanks for your time.

Please stop “correcting” the names of German ancestor profiles I manage. They did not have middle names! Per custom, the given name was typically a double (sometimes triple) name - usually a saint’s name paired with another name (which was often what they would go by in secular circles). This naming tradition has been discussed in G2G.

Good Morning, Dusty,

I have added to the 1850 U. S. census, Hunt County, Texas transcribed page to each member of Tarleton Boren's family that were listed on the image. I also added Henry F. and Louisa J Boren to the list of children. All of the other children you had were on the image, just not these two. Hopefully, this will help you with your research.

Hi Dusty, I notice that you have just created John Blythe using an online tree as a source. Please could you review the pre-1700 self-certification test, at Pre-1700 Help topic and the England Pre-1700 Reliable Sources page for further guidance on Pre-1700 profiles. You may also find it useful to coordinate with the England Project about your research. Please make sure that you have acceptable sources for any other pre-1700 profiles that you create. Thank you for your work on WikiTree. Best regards. Gillian, Ranger on Duty.

Hi Dusty

Thank you for the thank you concerning Roger Dearborn Lapham's mother. Are you a relative? I started the Lapham One Name study last Fall. Go to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Lapham_Name_Study if you're interested.

p.s. I see we're 9th cousins... :-)
Looking at my feed, I see on Jonathan Aldrich-1983 that you changed the mother from Mary Unknown-307585 to Deborah Hayward-2199 without citing a source.

The biography says that his mother's name was Mary and sites a source for the mother's name: https://archive.org/stream/vitalrecordsofme00mend#page/16/mode/1up

Requesting you cite your sources. Thanks.

Hello Dusty, I see you added a marriage date on the profile of Levi Chapman-3978. What is your source?

Please be aware that when you change the data, you should add a source in the biography below, then when you save the source, add the comment that it is a source for the marriage. Doing this will save a lot of anxiety for those concerned about profiles you edit.

Thanks.

Dusty is 18 degrees from Jaki Erdoes, 16 degrees from Wallis Windsor and 17 degrees from Henry VIII of England on our single family tree. Login to find your connection.
