Daniel Petrus Boshoff was born on March 7, 1844 in Graaff-Reinet, Cape Colony, son of Jacobus Nicolaas Boshoff (1808–1881) and Adriana Pieternella Elisabeth Geertruij van Aswegen (1811–1878). [1]
