Anna was born near Rustenburg, Transvaal about 1873. She married Willem Christiaan Mostert (Widower) in April 1898. She was widowed in 1900. She was incarcerated at the Krugersdorp Prison Camp during the Anglo-Boer War together with her children and some of her step-children.
