Caroline Bosley was baptized on 27 February 1825 in Ullingwick, Herefordshire, England, Her parents were recorded as Andrew Bosley and his wife Catherine Webb Insoll. [1] On the 1851 Census, her birthplace was listed as Upton Bishop, Herefordshire. [2]
Caroline Bosley married Joseph Preece in Apr-May-Jun 1852 in Ledbury, Herefordshire. [3]
In the 1861 England Census Joseph Preece 45 born about 1816 in Putley, Herefordshire, England, carpenter, was head of his household in Putley Common, Herefordshire. Other Household Members were his wife Caroline Preece 36 Upton Bishop, and their children, all born in Putley, Elizabeth Preece 8, Harriet Preece 6, Joseph Preece 5, Fanny Preece 3, and Lucy Preece 7/12. His brother John Preece 53 agricultural labourer, was still in residence. [4]
In the 1871 England Census Joseph Preece 56 born about 1815 in Putley Herefordshire England, carpenter, was head of his household in Putley Common, Herefordshire. Other Household Members were his wife Caroline Preece 48 Upton Bishop, and their children, all born in Putley, Elizabeth Preece 18, Joseph Preece 15, Fanny Preece 13, and Lucy Preece 10.[5]
