She and her sisters Rachel and Joanna are named in her father's 1840 will.[1]
In 1850 at age 47, she lived in Philadelphia with her sister Rachel (Boss) Evans and family.[2]
In 1860 at age 58, she lived in Baltimore, Maryland with her mother Sarah Boss (age 89), her sister Rachel Evans, and Rachel's family.[3]
Rebecca's sister died in 1863. In 1870, Rebecca still lived with her brother-in-law and two of her nieces.[4]
Research Notes
Note that there is a Rebecca M. Boss buried in the same cemetery with this Rebecca's parents Jacob and Sarah Boss in Hunterdon County, NJ, but she is definitely a different person, who died in 1867 at age 55 years, 8 months, 21 days (so born 2 Feb 1812). Rebecca C. Boss was still alive as of 1870.[5]
