Biography

George, born in Toronto, Canada West (Ontario), was the only living son of George Bostwick and Margaret Ferrier. He worked as a coal merchant in Toronto, Ontario, until 1884 when he became an agent for Goldie & McCulloch, Galt.^[1]

He married Katie Nickerson (18 Jul 1846 - 18 Jun 1911^[2][3]).

In the 1911 census, he was widowed and living with his daughter Mary and son-in-law John Lowndes.^[4]

He died in 1916 on Toronto's Centre Island^[5] and is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.^[6]
