Biography

Gervase, the son of Thomas by Elizabeth Nevile, succeeded to Newhall and was living then, 1586; as no mention is made of Ardsley, it may have passed away by one of the daughters of his first wife. He married Edith, a daughter of Hugh Wyrrel of Loversall near Doncaster, and by her he had issue

1/ Thomas, the only son

2/ Jane Boswell who married William Broxholm of Otley, Co. Lincoln, son and heir of John Broxholm of the Middle Temple, London (See Broxholm pedigree, Visitation of Lincolnshire, 1592)

3/ Ann Boswell, who married Henry Savile of Stanley near Wakefield

4/ Elizabeth, who married Thomas Furness of Tickhill Castle. [1]
