The 1890 Census for Virginia burned, so I don't have a copy of that.
But attached is a copy of the 1900 Federal Census for Patrick County, VA, which shows, in household 169:
John H Yates 26
Edna R Yates 20
Coy O Yates 1
Caron R Yates 60
In this record, Caron (Little Muh) is indicated as having given birth to 6 children, 3 of whom were still living. The living ones must have been Henrietta, John Henry, and Tobe. Alfred must have died relatively young, since he's not in the 1870 census, and I understand George died in 1898, so I think all of her children except 1 are accounted for across these census records. Any idea who that missing child is?

Dear Mike
Little Muh was never married but she had a son by perhaps a fellow called Dr Sheppard . His name was Thomas Oliver born in 1875 and died in 1918 from the flu. He married Sallie Barnard and home steaded in Wyoming. He had several children whose first name were made up of their initials. Roy, May, Foy, Amy, Ray etc. just as my father did., C.O.Y - Coy Oliver Yeatts
They mostly moved on to Washington State. Roy Yeatts was a medical doctor who came back to retire in Meadows of Dan. Roy had been in his career a missionary for the Seven Day Adventist .
Best Regards, Fred Yeatts

Dear Mike,
Those records are accurate on Little Muh' s children. I had just forgotten the dates and the child named Alfred. Also I had always understood Uncle Tobes's name to be Charles Thomas for some wrong reason. One wouldn't make a nickname of Tobe out of Thomas. George was a school teacher and somehow had a lame leg. I knew and loved "Aunt Etter" (Henrietta), Priscillas mother. They were our closest neighbor and I understood she named me. I will try to get you some photos of Eunice, Della and others as well as Henry Fielding's date of death . How did you come to have those photos of Priscilla? Were she and Delma close friends.?
I think Aunt Delma got those strong blue eyes from the Boyds. Grandpa's eye color was light blue but the many teachers and classmates named Boyd seemed to have dark blue eyes. Interesting!
Now Aunt Etter" (Henrietta), Priscillas mother had a son named Orgeon Yeatts whose father was a Frank Spangler. Orgeon was an admirable fellow in my estimation. Orgeon had several children one of which was named Alfred.
Fondest Regards. Fred Yeatts
