Biography

3rd son of William Boswell and Matilda/Maud Fitz William ... Sir John Boswell. a Knight of Rhodes, who, on returning to England entered the monastery at Norwich attached to the Cathedral, of which he was the Prior for the eighteen years preceding his death. He was buried in the Chapter House, which was pulled down in the 17th Century, when his tomb was removed to an aisle of the Cathedral, and may now be seen there; it is a remarkable one, and easily recognised by the figures upon it mentioned by Weaver in his "Funeral Monuments".
