He married Emily Pratt at Templeton, Massachusetts on January 24, 1860. Emily was born at Athol, Massachusetts on January 9, 1844, daughter of Alden and Achsah Pratt. [2]
Silas died on January 17, 1900 at New Salem, Massachusetts. [3] He is buried in the North New Salem Cemetery, New Salem,
Franklin, Massachusetts. [4]
