Jacobus Botha passed away before 14 February 1800 not 1784. His wife passed away before 16 July 1782 when their combined will was shown at the Orphan Chamber. He then drew up a new will in 1794 which was presented at the Orphan Chamber on 14 February 1800.

Please add Botha-7047 as son of Bota-18 and Potgieter-45. There were 3 sons born with this name. I have turned Botha-2560 into the youngest of them and created Botha-7047 to be the middle one.

Thank you Riël

I have added Botha-7047 as son

I also added the male died young template to avoid future mistakes or erroneous merges

Please add Theunis Botha (bef.1743-bef.1746) as son. See baptism. There were 2 sons born with this name. They were conflated into Theunis Botha (bef.1746-). Same parents. The first one must have died young

Why is there so much conflation of details between Jacobus Botha and Jacobús Bota / Botha? Is there the possiblity that they are one and the same person? Why the same date of baptism, and Snijman as family? They do have different fathers; is there an explaination for this?

Botha-2127 and Botha-136 appear to represent the same person because: Same data and spouse
