Biography
Judith Margareth was born in Oudtshoorn, Cape Colony in 1842; she was the daughter of Adam Jacobus Botha and Judith (Coetsee) Botha.
She was 17 years old when she married 20-year-old Carel Petrus Johannes Roos in Potchefstroom on 12 November 1859.[1] They had the following children:
- Judith Margaretha Roos
- Carel Petrus Johannes Roos
- Johanna Susanna Roos
- Lucy Susanna Roos
- Adam Petrus Johannes Roos
- Maria Catharina Roos
Judith was a 55-year-old widow when she passed away in her own home in Klerksdorp on 12 February 1897.[2][3]
