DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elma by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elma:

Hi Elma, you imported data from family search into existing [and some validated] profiles instead of adding manually:
  1. Booyzen-2
  2. De_Beer-613
  3. Benade-39
  4. Booysen-342

If the bio's will not be integrated in the fashion that the project prescribes (see here), the information will be deleted.

Hi Elma,

Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. I see you have ancestors from South Africa. Have a look at the South African Roots Project, and see what you think. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks, Susie :-)

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Hi Elma,

You’ve been here about a week now so I thought I’d check in with you to see how it’s going. Is the How-Tos helping?

Give me a shout if you have any questions.
