Biography
Christiaan Theunis Gerrit was born in 1839. He was the son of Christiaan Theunis Gerritse Botha and Johanna Magdalena van der Merwe.
He married Elsie Elizabeth Crafford in about 1860; they had the following children:

- Elsie Elizabeth (Botha) Bekker
- Christiaan Theunis Gertse Botha
- Adolf Johannes Botha

Christiaan was 40 years old when he passed away at the Farm 'Vlak Laagte' near Middelburg, ZAR, on 12 February 1879.[1][2]
