Research Notes

  • This profile became conflated due to two daughters named Amerentia being born by the same parents. One was baptised in 1785 (e3) and the other in 1799 (e11). The younger one was named Amerentia Johanna and seems to be the one who married. The following details have been removed from the main body of the Bio as it belongs to her sister's profile :
    • Birth Date: 1799 [2]
    • Surname: Theunissen [2]
    • Date of Death: 12 Dec 1859 [2]

Botha-4781 and Botha-990 appear to represent the same person because: Variation to birth dates, See baptism, South Africa, Dutch Reformed Church Registers (Cape Town Archives), 1660-1970 , , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VRLQ-XT7 : Thu Oct 26 14:15:09 UTC 2023), Entry for Amerentia Botha and Philippus Rudolph Botha, 03 Apr 1785.

Botha-4781 and Botha-990 are not ready to be merged because: There are 2 different children named Amerentia. One was baptised in 1785 (named Amerentia) and the other in 1799 (named Amerentia Johanna). It seems the latter one married Theunissen & Beukes. I will add their baptism details to their profiles.

Last post refers: I see one of the witnesses at the baptism is Philippus Rudolphus Botha,so maybr this is correct. I hope so.
Could this possibly be a child, also cites husband as being Jan Hubertus Theunissen?
