BOTT, JOHN BERNARD, 86 of Louisville, died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at Rockford Manor Nursing Home. John was born March 16, 1919, to John V. and Flora (Wempe) Bott in Louisville, KY. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Southern Gravure, was a member of the old Columbia Athletic Club, a life member of St. Polycarp's Booster Club and a life member of Mill Creek VFW Post 5421. John was one of the first members of St. Polycarp Church and one of his Church's most faithful volunteers. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred (Pontrich) Bott; his parents, John and Flora Bott; his sisters, Johanna Blair and Catherine Gude; and three grandchildren, Veronica Wimsatt, Jonathan Bott, and Randen Thomas. John is survived by his ten children, Mary Ann Bellflower (Roy), Carolyn Wimsatt, Donna Wimsatt (Leon), Mickey Kolle (Danny), Kathy Myers (Dan), Bonnie Tolle (Don), Kenny Bott, all of Louisville, Beverly McMurdo (Steve) of Concord, CA, John E. Bott (Karen) of Vincennes, IN, and Jo Jo Thomas (Johnnie) of Rhodelia, KY; 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Bert Bott (Florence); and his sisters, Margie Ware, Dottie Feltman and Betty Mahaffey. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 -9 p.m. on Monday, and from 1 -9 p.m. on Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
