Richard George Bouchard was born in New Hampshire on July 17, 1947. He was the son of George and Lorraine Y (Fradette) Bouchard.
He resided in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Richard was a Corporal with the United States Marine Corps., serving as an Aircraft Recovery Specialist with group III Marine Amphibious Force, 1st MAW, Mag 13, MABS 13. He began his tour on May 20, 1969.
Richard was killed in action on September 19, 1969 in Quang Tin, South Vietnam. He died through non-hostile action, accident when a plane veered off the runway and struck him.
Corporal Bouchard is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Wall of Faces, Panel 18 W, Line 112.

Military funeral services for Cpl. Richard George Bouchard, USMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bouchard, 337 Orange St., were held Wednesday morning from the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home. In St. George Church at 10, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Adrien Verette, pastor, officiated at a solemn high mass of requiem assisted by Rev. Albert Bellefeuille as deacon and Rev. Paul Groleau as sub-deacon. Seated in the sanctuary was Rev. Edward Richard, chaplain of the Manchester Fire Department. Music was furnished by a parish quartet under the direction of Rosaire Charland, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Robitaille, organist. Attending the services were many municipal officials headed by Mayor and Mrs. John C. Mongan, former Mayor Roland Vallee, a delegation from the Manchester Water Works, School Department by Michael Murphy, Roland Breton, retired Fire Chief G. Napoleon Guevin, Henry J. Pariseau. Deputy Chief William Whitimore and Chief Henry Provost, Ald. Donald Berquist, Hillsborough County Sheriff Lawrence Shea, State Sen. Louis I. Martel, Mike Nagels, Fire Department, Local 856, and Roger Desrochers. An honor guard composed of Troop 112 of St. George included: Cub Scouts, Raymond Amirault and Richard Despins, Boy Scouts Philippo Boucher and Douglas Boisvert and Troop Chairman Armand L. Duhaime. Active bearers were Cpl. Waters, Cpl. Boyd, PFC Roy, Cpl. Carter, L/Cpl Kay, and Cpl. Vaivods from the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks in Portsmouth. A volley was fired by a squad under the command of Sgt. Dempsey, NCOIC, consisting of Cpl. Wessner, L/Cpl. Gervais, PFC Bourdelais, and PFC Farrell. Taps were sounded by L/Cpl. Lawton. The military escort accompying the body of Cpl. Bouchard to Manchester was composed of Cpl. Robert Mack and Sgt. George Wise of the Marine Corps Base in Philadelphia, Pa. Fr. Bellefeuille led the committal prayers in the Mausoleum chapel. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The flag was folded and presented to the parents.
