Grandson Jack Perreault
Great grandparents Victor and Elize oldest child my grandfather Praxede Boucher born on 7/10/1876 in St Romauld. He married a taller Eva nee Bergeron at the Precious Blood church in Holyoke. Eva was a childhood friend. Praxede DOB 1/11/1874, came to the US with his parents 1893 at the age of nineteen, and became naturalized in 1904. Eva had arrived with her family two years prior at fifteen. They originally settled in an apartment in Holyoke with family members, but later purchased a home in Aldenville where they raised a family of nine children. Praxede worked as a tool maker for New England Westinghouse and later as a machinist for Fiske Rubber Co. a division of US Rubber. He retired for medical reasons in 1943. Praxede died on 1/19/1951 in Aldenville of a sudden heart attack at age seventy seven. Three priests officiated at his funeral including his cousin Reverend Harvey Pilotte. Praxede and Eva after retirement wintered in Florida in the Fort Lauderdale area. Praxede smoked a pipe and puffed smoke into his children’s ears to cure earaches. Praxede on occasion chewed tobacco and used a brass spittoon, which he kept very shiny. He always wore a starched white shirt and tie.
