Biography

Marie Emélie Boucher was born and baptized on 18 Aug 1831 in Saint-André parish in Kamouraska. She was the daughter of Germain Boucher and Zoé Ouellet. Godparents at Emélie's baptism were her maternal grandparents François Ouellet and Marie Salomé Lebel. At age 20 Emélie married Christophe Bernier on 29 Jul 1851 in Saint-André parish in Kamouraska.
