Marie Celeste Boudreaux, daughter of Augustin Boudrot (1782–1835) and Francoise Ritter (1783–1879), was born on September 30, 1809 in Opelousas, Louisiana,[1] before U.S. statehood.

Marie Celeste was seventeen years old when she married Louis Savoie (born on September 3, 1804 in Saint Martinville, St. Martin, Orleans Territory; son of François Savoie and Anne Appoline Lucie (Potier) Pothier) on January 15, 1827 in Opelousas, Louisiana.[1]

Their known child:

  1. Don Louis Savoie (1827–<1872)

Marie died on March 4, 1829 in Grand Coteau, St. Landry, Louisiana, aged 19.[1]
