Biography

Charles Broussard is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 6 Right, Le Bon Papa, arrivee Le 29 Juillet 1785. Listed with him is his spouse Eufroisine Mariot [Barrieau], their children, Jean Charles, Francois, Pierre & Dominique, and Paul Boudrot, his beau fils (step-son)[1]

Paul Marie Boudrot, son of Joseph Francois Boudrot and Euphrosine Barrieau, was born 3 October 1771 in Ille-et-Vilaine, France, where his parents were living in exile from Acadia. He was christened at St. Servan the same day.[2]
When Paul was about 13, he embarked from France with his step-brothers, step-father and his mother bound for New Orleans. They were the 24th family listed aboard the Le Bon Papa, which embarked in France on 10 May 1785 and debarked in Louisiana on 29 July 1785.[3]
Paul and Elizabeth Modeste Pitre were married 28 September 1794 in Plattenville, Assumption Parish.[4]

Paul died 14 September 1846 in Lafourche Parish and was buried in Thibodaux, Lafourche, Louisiana.[6]
