Paul Marie Boudrot, son of Joseph Francois Boudrot and Euphrosine Barrieau, was born 3 October 1771 in Ille-et-Vilaine, France, where his parents were living in exile from Acadia. He was christened at St. Servan the same day.[2]
When Paul was about 13, he embarked from France with his step-brothers, step-father and his mother bound for New Orleans. They were the 24th family listed aboard the Le Bon Papa, which embarked in France on 10 May 1785 and debarked in Louisiana on 29 July 1785.[3]

Paul died 14 September 1846 in Lafourche Parish and was buried in Thibodaux, Lafourche, Louisiana.[6]
