Jean Joseph was born in 23 Jul 1776 to Joseph Boudrot and Marguerite Richard and was baptized that same evening (record says he was born this night) at the parish of Saint-Martin.[2]
His family arrived in New Orleans aboard L'Amitie on 20 Aug 1785.[3] They were listed as follows:
