Biography

Paul Le Blanc is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 8 Right, Le Beaumont. Listed with him is his wife Anne Boudrot; two daughters Adelaide and Rosalie; and a niece Rose Trahan.[1]

Anne Boudrot was born 29 Nov 1747. She was the daughter of François Boudreaux and Anne Marie Thibodeau. She was baptized the day of her birth at Saint Charles des Mines, Grand-Pré, Acadia. Her godparents were Ignace Hebert and Ozite Hebert.[2]

Paul Leblanc, Anne Boudrot, his wife, and 2 children: Sylvestre and Anne were in the Third Convoy leaving Chatellerault for Nantes on December 7, 1775.

Several children were born in Nantes but only two of those survived to immigrate to Louisiana. More children were born in Louisiana.

Paul Leblanc, Anne Boudrot, his wife and 2 children: Adelaide and Rosalie were passengers (Family No. 33) aboard LE BEAUMONT, which departed France on June 11, 1785 and arrived in Louisiana on August 19, 1785.

Paul LEBLANT, major son of deceased Claude and of Magdelaine BOUDROT, and Anne BOUDROT, major daughter of deceased Francois and Anne Marie TIBAUDO, both natives of Acadie, diocese of Quebec and residents of this parish have married in this Church this twenty-ninth day of May 1770 after the three proclations of their future marriage canonically made without opposition; the nuptial benediction was administered to them by me undersigned Cure of this parish in presence of Isidore Trahan, brother-in-law of the groom; Jean Robicho, cousin of the groom; Francois Boudro, brother of the bride; Pierre Boudro, her cousin; and several others of whom have signed:
