Biography

This profile is part of the Boudreau Name Study.

René Boudrot, son of Michel Boudrot and Cécile LeBlanc , was baptised at Grand-Pré on 15 August 1717. The actual birth date is illegible.[1][2] [3]

He married Judith Pitre around 1745 in Acadie. [4]

Their children were: [5]

  1. Pierre Boudrot (1749 - 1819)
  2. Marie Boudrot (~1749 - 1758)
  3. Marguerite Boudrot (~1750 - 1758)
  4. Unknown BOUDROT, b. bef 1754-1755
  5. Unknown BOUDROT, b. bef 1754-1755
  6. Joseph Boudrot (~1755 - 1757)
  7. Michel Boudrot (~1756 - 1757)

In 1755 they were residing at Chipoudie with 2 boys and 3 girls. [6][7]

The family managed to escape deportation and imprisonment by the British by finding fleeing, around 1756-1757, either to a refugee camp on the Miramichi known as Camp d'Espérance or to Isle Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward Island). [7]

In 1757, widowed Judith and her children left Acadie permanently to seek a better life in Canada, Nouvelle-France (now Québec Province). In the spring of 1757, Judith and children Pierre, Marie, Marguerite, Joseph and Michel boarded one of two ships that left Miramichi and disembarked at the port of Québec in June or July 1757. [8] The family settled at Île-aux-Coudres.

René died between 1757 and 1757. [9]

Boudreau-1891 and Boudrot-4 appear to represent the same person because: same wife, parents, dates. Sorry for the duplicate.
