Hilaire was born and baptized in Annapolis Royal (formerly Port-Royal) on 24 April 1742. [1]
Pierre, his second wife Madeleine Belliveau, and sons Charles, Hilaire, Isaie, Jean and Pierre-David were among the Acadians who escaped the 1755 Deportation by seizing the boat Pembroke which was supposed to transport them to exile in North Carolina.[2]
He married Madeleine Caissie (Joseph & Marie-Josèphe
Lapierre) around 1765. They had 6 known children.[3]
Hilaire passed away on 21 October 1808 and was interred the next day in Memramcook.[4][5]
