Biography

George Staples Boulton was born on the 5th February 1854, in the District of Darling Downs, New South Wales, Australia (it was not yet the Colony of Queensland), the second child, eldest son of Martin Boulton (senior) and Henrietta Bellinger.^[1]
George was christened on the 14th May 1854.^[2]

George married Elizabeth Dove Gilbert on the 6th June 1894, in Queensland.^[3]

"BOULTON—GILBERT.—On the 6th June, at St. James's Church, Toowoomba, by the Rev. Canon Warner, George Staples, eldest son of the late Martin Boulton, Toowoomba, to Elizabeth Dove, eldest daughter of James Gilbert, of Brisbane, formerly of Ballarat, Victoria."^[4]

George Staples Boulton passed away on the 10th July 1937, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, five months five days after his 83rd birthday.^[5]

George was buried in the Toowong Cemetery, Toowong, Brisbane, where, later, his wife was also laid, and even later again, daughter Elizabeth.^[6]
