Biography
After the death of John Jefferson Hooper, Altasarah was listed as 57 yrs. of age and in the household of son William Cody Hooper on June 14, 1880 and as age 60 on June 16, 1880 and in the home of another son James Monroe. She lived in the homes of both sons; therefore, both sons listed her as residing with them. The census collectors reached William Cody's home on the 14th and James Monroe's on the 16th. Altasarah would actually have been 62 since her birthday is May 24, 1818.
