Louis -Antoine d'Artois was the eldest son of Charles X and his wife Maria Teresa of Savoy, He was born on 6 August 1775 in Versailles.[1].
Louis-Antoine was married to his cousin Marie-Thérèse, only surviving child of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette of Austria. The couple was childless.
Louis-Antoine died in exile in Görz (now Gorica in Italy and Nova Gorica in Slovenia) on 3 June 1844. He was buried in the crypt of the Frančiškanski samostan Kostanjevica in the city.[2]
